Crawfish season is in full swing, which means most of my weekends are fully booked with spicy crawfish and cold drinks! While COVID might have put a damper on most of our social gatherings, we’re lucky to have a crazy amount of awesome restaurants in town to pick some up. So let’s get straight to the good stuff – here are 15 of the most popular spots in Baton Rouge for delicious boiled crawfish, including some of my personal favorites!
#1 : WILLIE’S RESTAURANT
My hands-down go-to in Baton Rouge for boiled crawfish! They’re seasoned well (not just spicy), the drinks are delicious, and their cheese logs could be a meal on their own. Be sure to try one of their ice cold sangrias or punch too!
#2 : TONY’S SEAFOOD
Tony’s is Louisiana’s largest seafood market, so it comes as no surprise that they would be a popular spot for seafood! On top of having killer plate lunches and deli options year-round, their boiled crawfish is some of my favorite in BR and a popular spot among locals.
#3 : PIT-N-PEEL
A true mid-city gem! Service is always amazing and the owner Vaughn is so nice. Highly recommend for both BBQ and crawfish.

Perfectly seasoned every time. A great option for crawfish when in season, and be sure to check them out for other seafood and tasty food the rest of the year too!
#5 : NENE’S CATERING
Another popular go-to for all things boiled seafood! Some of the best boiled crawfish I’ve had in town, and they offer crab and shrimp too.

If you like the convenience of a drive-thru and are looking for tasty crawfish around Southdowns, the Crawfish On-the-Geaux truck is the perfect spot at the corner of Perkins Rd and Acadian/Stanford.
You wouldn’t think a place known for it’s delicious ramen and steam buns would have some of my favorite crawfish in town, but they do! Their twist on a cajun classic includes lemongrass, garlic butter, quail egg, and edamame.
A great option for all my friends living on the East side of BR! This St. Gabriel gem is a popular spot for anyone looking to pick some up.
Hot crawfish + cold daiquiris = a good time! Need I say more?
This little convenience store might not look like much, but it’s home to some tasty crawfish! Not to mention all the great things we love about convenience stores – snacks, drinks, great selection of beer – all in one place. There’s even a snowball stand around the corner!
You can’t ask around for the best crawfish without hearing someone say Sammy’s, so I think it’s safe to say it’s a crowd favorite!
Their crawfish is delicious, as is almost everything else on their menu. Oh, and they cater too!
Pssst…be sure to look at their Wednesday special!
