With National Pizza Day coming up on February 9, what better way to celebrate than rounding up the BEST pizza places here in Baton Rouge? In no particular order…

Fleur-Di-Lis Pizza (5655 Government St)

This family-run local favorite has been around for a while (since the 50s in fact) and between being voted Best Pizza in 2018 in 225 Magazine and locals raving about it, it’s easy to see why this is such a popular pizza joint!

Lit Pizza (various locations)

One of my personal favorites, this locally-owned business blast-fires some of the yummiest pizzas in town. Though that might have a lot to do with what being able to completely customize everything about your pizza…Fun fact: LIT is actually a sister-business to Izzo’s!

Red Zeppelin (4395 Perkins Rd)

A thin-crust lovers dream! Locals RAVE about this joint and say it’s the best in town.

Reginelli’s (638 Jefferson Hwy)

Another one of my absolute favorites. Their thick-cut pepperoni just doesn’t compare! Chose from a variety of menu options or create your own.

Rotolo’s Craft & Crust (411 Ben Hur Rd)

Local favorite for $5 calzones every Wednesday!

Rocca Pizzeria (3897 Government St)

Despite only recently celebrating their 1st year, it’s not hard to see why this pizza joint is so popular in Mid City!

City Slice (124 W Chimes St)

Hard to go wrong with any of their DELICIOUS signature pies…

Johnny’s Pizza House (8873 Highland Rd)

Located close to Sammy’s grill, this Highland Rd pizza joint is a local favorite!

Jabby’s (18303 Old Perkins Rd W)

Duck pizza anyone?

Schlitz and Giggles (2 locations – downtown at 301 3rd St. + Perkins Overpass at 2355 Ferndale Ave)

While I’m more familiar with the downtown location, both are perfect for some greasy pizza cravings. The downtown location serves pizza by-the-slice for anyone wanting to grab a late-night bite!
