From just over 91,000 residents in 2000 to around 128,000 in 2010, it’s no surprise that as of 2015, Livingston Parish was the fastest-growing parish in the state. The parish is home Denham Springs, Walker, and several other small towns and communities.
Fun fact: Livingston is home of one of two installations for a gravitational wave observatory (LIGO) which is a facility dedicated to the detection of cosmic gravitational waves and the harnessing of these waves for scientific research.
