One thing I absolutely love about a bar cart is how versatile they can be. Not only are they a fun accent piece in any room, but they also provide a great place to store and display your go-to items. But if you’re a little stuck on how to style one to perfection or even where to start putting one together, here are 3 fun ways to style your cart and a few things you’ll need for each!
Let’s get started with a few basics…
Step 1: Pick a Place
Think about where you’d want a cart in the first place. When you settle on a room, create a space for it and choose an appropriate-sized cart and cart style!
Step 2: Pick a Style
Do you want high polish or matte, bronze or silver? Going for a vintage vibe or more modern? If you’re not picky, pick a cart that “speaks” to you and go from there!

Step 3: Pick a Purpose
As I mentioned, I absolutely love how carts can be used for so many purposes! Here are a few of my favorites:
#1 : The Classic Bar Cart
Add your favorite cocktail ingredients along with the tools for mixing up drinks, a few cute glasses and some fresh herbs or fruit to bring it all together! If you’re a wine lover, you can even add a small wine rack to store your extra bottles.

#2 : The Coffee Cart
Use your bar cart as a coffee station. Make sure it’s near an outlet and plug in your go-to single-serve coffee maker or kettle! Use glass jars to store coffee, tea, and essentials like sugar. Line the bottom shelf with mugs and other coffee-making necessities. Add a plant for some color and a few bottles of San Pellegrino.

#3 : The Guest Room Essentials Cart
If you’re lacking storage space in your house, use a bar cart for guest room essentials. You could use the bottom shelf for rolled up towels, have a letterboard sign with a warm welcome and the wifi info, a plant for color (important for any cart style) and a small basket of snacks. Don’t forget to include a few water bottles (or wine) too!
